Rules for renewing the validity of a PTPPd psychotherapist / psychotherapy supervisor Certificate

  1. No later than 90 days before the certificate’s expiry date, the PTPPd Secretariat will notify the person concerned of this fact electronically / by post.
  2. Within 30 days of being informed about the expiry of the Certificate, the applicant is obliged to submit the relevant documents to the PTPPd Secretariat.
  3. If the supervisor certificate was granted later than the psychotherapist certificate, the renewal date of the psychotherapist certificate is the date on which the supervisor certificate was obtained. In such a case, after confirming activity in conducting psychotherapy and supervision during the validity period of the held supervisor certificate, both certificates are renewed (both items should be marked in the questionnaire).
  4. The Main Board decides on the extension of the Certificate’s validity within 30 days of receiving the recommendation of the Certification Committee. The Certification Committee establishes its position within 30 days of the submission of the relevant documents.
  5. Failure to submit an application to extend the Certificate’s validity more than 90 days after its expiry date results in its loss and removal from the list of Certified Psychotherapists / Supervisors of PTPPd.
  6. An applicant for the extension of certificate validity should submit an application /Appendix A/, file the relevant declaration of compliance with the code of ethics of a PTPPd psychotherapist / supervisor /Appendix B/, and confirm activity in conducting psychotherapy or supervision during the validity period of the held certificate.
  7. The complete documents should be sent in writing, by post, in one copy to the address: Polskie Towarzystwo Psychoterapii Psychodynamicznej, ul. Zamoyskiego 56, 30-523 Kraków
    marked „Komisja Certyfikacyjna”
    and electronically, together with the payment confirmation, to the address kc@ptppd.pl
  8. If the application for the extension of certificate validity is approved, the applicant is notified of this fact electronically / by post.
  9. A refusal to extend certificate validity is sent to the person concerned by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. Within 14 days of being informed of the refusal to extend the certificate’s validity, the person concerned has the right to lodge an appeal in this regard. The appeal procedure is identical to the appeal procedure provided for in cases of refusal to grant a PTPPd psychotherapist / supervisor certificate.
  10. The fee for extending the validity of a PTPPd psychotherapist / supervisor certificate is PLN 400 and should be paid within 7 days of submitting the application, by transfer to the PTPPd account marked „procedura przedłużenia ważności certyfikatu”. Failure to pay the fee within the set deadline results in the cancellation of the applicant’s application.
  11. Through this procedure, the validity of a PTPPd psychotherapist / supervisor certificate is extended by a further 7 years.
