Couples Psychotherapy Section
Established on August 23, 2025 · 11 founding members
Upon the request of an 11-member initiative group, on August 23, 2025, the Main Board of the PTPPd approved the establishment of the Couples Psychotherapy Section of the Polish Society for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
The objective of the Couples Psychotherapy Section is to provide psychodynamic psychotherapists affiliated with the PTPPd—who work therapeutically with couples or are interested in pursuing such work—with a platform for exchanging experiences and ideas, as well as developing their skills and knowledge in this field of practice.
The section will undertake initiatives aimed at integrating the community of psychodynamic psychotherapists who offer therapeutic work with couples, as well as identifying their needs and comparing clinical approaches to foster further reflection on the theoretical and technical principles of this model of work.
The task of the section is to promote and develop the practice of psychodynamic work with couples, and to expand the knowledge and competences of its member psychotherapists.
The above goals will be achieved through the organization of seminars, lectures, workshops, supervisions, training sessions, conferences, and scientific research.
