Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Section

On June 17, 2015, the Main Board of the PTPPd approved the application to establish the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Section of the PTPPd, which originated from the initiative of the Society Members interested in the field of psychodynamic psychotherapy for children and adolescents.

Within the section, the implementation of the following goals is planned:

• actions toward the development of psychodynamic psychotherapy for children and adolescents,
• actions toward the development of perinatal psychodynamic psychotherapy,
• broadening the knowledge and competences of psychotherapists in the area of human development, as well as tools, techniques, and phenomena in child and adolescent psychodynamic psychotherapy,
• promoting knowledge about the possibilities of applying psychodynamic psychotherapy to children and adolescents across various environments and professions: teachers, educators, doctors, social workers, probation officers, and others,
• integrating the community of psychodynamic child and adolescent psychotherapists.

The above goals will be achieved through seminars, lectures, workshops, supervisions, training sessions, courses, conferences, and scientific research.
